On Wednesday, February 9, 2011, Sohn & Associates, Ltd. sold 117 acres of Gibson County Indiana farmland for $1,325.000.00 or $11,325 per acre.
The cold weather and hazardous road conditions did not stop the Haubstadt Community Park Building from filling to capacity. The standing room only crowd watched the bidding quickly go over the one million dollar mark. There was some competitive bidding on smaller tract combinations, but the farm ended up being purchased by a single bidder.
